Tell us a bit about yourself

I'm from India, currently living in Gurugram, just outside the capital city of Delhi. I am a software developer and an amateur gamer at heart. It's my responsibility to make Cue look good and work well at all times. In "nerd" words, I work on the front end of our software.

How did you get to Cue?

I learned about Cue from Rhett (Cue CPO). I've known him for some time and worked with him on other projects in the past. I was looking for a change and reached out to him to see if he knew of anyone hiring. He told me about Cue, what it is and what the goals are - I decided to jump in.

What has your experience been like since joining Cue 3 years ago?

For most of my career, I've worked remotely, so I'm used to it. I love the flexibility that working remotely provides. My experience working with the Cue crew remotely has been great.

What did you do before joining Cue?

Before Cue, I was building applications in the ERP space and B2B financial applications. Even though the industry is quite different from what we do at Cue, the core principles always remain the same, i.e., to build scalable and stable software for our customers that provides real-world value.

What do you find most rewarding about working at Cue?

Our solutions at Cue allow businesses to connect with their customers and serve them better. That's one of the best ways to have a huge impact, because not only are you helping your customers but also the end users of your customers' products.

What do you do outside of work?

I am one of those who would be writing code even if they were not paid to do so. But when I am not writing code, you can find me cooking, playing games or watching YouTube videos of good old Manchester United glory days..

What is it like working with different people from SA?

We played a quiz on my first day to get to know each other. That was a fun quiz and helped me learn a few SA slang terms. I remember being surprised by the number of official languages. In India, we have so many regional languages but only two official languages at the national level. So it felt familiar and different at the same time.

What does a typical week look like for you?

My week at Cue tends to start with a sync call with the Product team. Discussing the roadmap of our various products and setting up goals and milestones. The rest of the week is mostly chipping away at that and making bug fixes to improve the quality.

How would you describe the Cue culture?

The team culture is very positive and respectful. I've always preferred working in smaller, tight-knit teams and that's what I get here, even though I work fully remotely

    Describe Cue in one sentence

    Customer-first company
